4th of July

Standard

Last night, we took Owen to Pleasanton for their annual Independence Day Celebration. It was incredibly windy, and by 7pm, we were freezing. We brought a picnic with us, and that was fun to eat on a blanket. Not sure why it was fun, maybe just out of the ordinary?! The celebration was held at a park that had a huge waterfall for kids to play in. Owen wanted nothing to do with the water, but really loved the swings. The news article we found said that this celebration attracts about 40,000 people every year, and I definitely believe it. It was incredibly crowded and I felt I spent the majority of the evening making sure Owen didn’t get run over by older kids. Looks like next year we’ll be doing something else!

Here is a picture of Owen from last night. I got Owen’s organic cotton shirt at Target! It’s really cute and incredibly soft!

Happy 4th of July!

About Erin

I'm a mom to the sweetest little boys ever, Owen & Colin. Owen was born in April of 2007 after 22 hours of active labor in a hospital. Love him more than life. Knowing I didn't feel another hospital birth was right for me, Colin was born at home surrounded by our 2 midwives and our little family. I've been married to my hubs for 7 years. We met in 1997 in an AOL Chatroom...the rest is history. I'm crazy. I'm funny. I am socially awkward. This is my life.
