Mini Getaway

Standard

Hubby booked us a room at the Grand Sierra for last night. How fun is it to stay in a hotel in your own city? TONS. I love hotels. I love the sheets and bathroom goodies and jumping on the king size bed. And King Size Bed…omg, we should have gotten one when our old mattress crapped out. Instead we got a Queen. Still, plenty big enough, but the king size is great. I didn’t touch anyone all night long. Fantastic.

We let Owen play in the bounce house and at the arcade (followed by some serious hand washing, since I clearly have issues with germs.) We ate at Johnny Rocket’s and Roundtable. We watched Twilight on tv. We had donuts for breakfast and ate Red Vines at 10pm. I love little vacations.

Tomorrow, we’re driving to the Bay so Sean can have a meeting with his boss in Fairfield. We’ll stay at my parents house which I’m really looking forward to. Then, we’ll drive back here Wednesday only to then drive back for Sean’s birthday in 2 weeks. 🙂

Here are a few pics of our weekend.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Now, off to do laundry and wash the casino/smoke smell out of my clothes.

About Erin

I'm a mom to the sweetest little boys ever, Owen & Colin. Owen was born in April of 2007 after 22 hours of active labor in a hospital. Love him more than life. Knowing I didn't feel another hospital birth was right for me, Colin was born at home surrounded by our 2 midwives and our little family. I've been married to my hubs for 7 years. We met in 1997 in an AOL Chatroom...the rest is history. I'm crazy. I'm funny. I am socially awkward. This is my life.
