Mother’s Day

Standard

Can you believe we didn’t take ONE single picture yesterday?! Neither can I. I did, however, have a GREAT mothers day. Sean and Owen got donuts for breakfast (I ate 2 bavarian cream donuts, just in case anyone was curious. and yes, I ate them both.) We went to Target to get Owen some new bath toys. We had In-n-Out burger for lunch (so yum.) I also got to take a 2 hour uninterrupted nap! It was glorious. We had pizza for dinner, although it was too much for me, so I just had a cup of noodles. Remember back in the day when cup of noodles used to have those bits of scrambled egg in it? Yeah, me too. That was my favorite part.

The forecast for today here in Reno: rain and snow. Yep, it’s May and we are supposed to get snow. So insane. O and I will be running to Lowe’s to get carpet stain remover (fyi: you should not use laundry stain remover on your carpet, because it will leave a HUGE mess 2 months later. You’re welcome.) We will also be running to Wal Mart to get cat food and almond milk.

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

About Erin

I'm a mom to the sweetest little boys ever, Owen & Colin. Owen was born in April of 2007 after 22 hours of active labor in a hospital. Love him more than life. Knowing I didn't feel another hospital birth was right for me, Colin was born at home surrounded by our 2 midwives and our little family. I've been married to my hubs for 7 years. We met in 1997 in an AOL Chatroom...the rest is history. I'm crazy. I'm funny. I am socially awkward. This is my life.

  1. We actually all really like it. (even Sean….) I like soy milk, but soy can mimic estrogen in your body, so we only do that every once in a while. Almond is great and is the closest I’ve found to cows milk (besides goats milk, which is also delish.) I can’t really use soy milk in place of regular milk in cooking, but I’ve found I can with almond milk (mac & cheese, soups, etc.) It’s cheap at Wal Mart, too! Give it a shot. I love it in cereal, but not really to drink plain, but then again, I don’t like to drink regular milk either.
