24 Weeks

Standard

Oh, Claremont spa….I wish I could visit that place once a month. In actuality, I visit once a year, on my birthday. Mom and I had a fantastic time, even if I couldn’t partake in the sauna, steam, whirlpool and deluge. Next year, though….next year. I did get the prenatal massage, which was a little piece of heaven.  I was a little disappointed that the lady who gave me my massage didn’t use our entire 50 minutes…it was more like 40 something. It was still a delight though. I got to dip my legs in the whirlpool and I used copious amounts of their body lotion. All was well. 🙂 Mom and I started our trip to the spa with lunch at The Paragon Restaurant. We got to sit outside and the weather was fantastic. We each had an Arnold Palmer to drink (half raspberry iced tea, half lemonade) and we shared two entrees, the grilled cheese with tomato-basil soup and buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with garlic fries. The fries were AMAZING.

Pregnancy Highlights!

How Far Along: 24 Weeks!

Size of Baby: Baby Gaga says my little man is 11.8 inches and weighs 1.3 pounds. So funny because I’ve totally gained more than 1.3 pounds…. 😉

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 12 pounds. I guess my scale decided to work…or I decided to step on it.

Maternity Clothes: All of the above. Although I did rock a non-maternity tank top the other day. I have no pictures. It was embarrassing.

Gender: A BOY! Colin Whitney

Movement: Owen was more of a mover/stretcher baby. Colin likes to punch and kick, UFC style.

Sleep: I still get up about 3 times a night to use the bathroom, but other than that, I can’t complain.

What I Miss: Sleeping on my back, although some times I do wake up in the night and I’m on my back. No idea how I got there…. :)

Cravings: This week, cherry limeades and basil lemonade. So, I whipped up a batch of basil lemonade tonight.

Symptoms: Just some swollen feet, but that’s about it. Feeling pretty wonderful, overall.

Best Moment This Week: Had to be the spa with my mom. SO. Much. FUN!

About Erin

I'm a mom to the sweetest little boys ever, Owen & Colin. Owen was born in April of 2007 after 22 hours of active labor in a hospital. Love him more than life. Knowing I didn't feel another hospital birth was right for me, Colin was born at home surrounded by our 2 midwives and our little family. I've been married to my hubs for 7 years. We met in 1997 in an AOL Chatroom...the rest is history. I'm crazy. I'm funny. I am socially awkward. This is my life.
