37 Weeks

Just an apology. I’m gonna type this so fast because I’m starving and hubby is taking us out to lunch. I’m literally withering away to nothing. hahah

I had an appointment with my midwife this week and all looks well. Colin’s heartbeat is in the 140’s-150’s and he’s still head down. Thank you, son. I did the swab to test for GBS, also. My next appointment is Tuesday, and it will be a home visit. I guess we’re getting pretty close, huh? I also just ordered my birth kit and birth pool liner, which makes this super real. We met with our doula this morning and she gave us some great tips for the early stages of labor. LOST, anyone? 😉

I went to the monthly LLL meeting, and one of the leaders is letting us borrow her cosleeper. It’s all set up, and currently housing a few of Owen’s babies. They seem to enjoy it. 🙂

Pregnancy Highlights!

How Far Along: 37 Weeks!

Size of Baby: 19 inches and 6.3 lbs (As a side note, Owen was born at 38 weeks, was 20 inches and weighed 6.5 lbs) CRAZY!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Okay okay okay. It’s like 28. Ish.

Maternity Clothes: Hahahaha YES.

Gender: A BOY! Colin Whitney

Movement: Colin is still active, but more with pushing and stuff. Every once in a while, he’ll give a big kick. He also is having the hiccups more, but not nearly as much as Owen.

Sleep: A little better this week. I’ve been sleeping with a heating pad since my back and right shoulder are killing me. I keep thinking if I could just sleep on my back it would be better….haha

What I Miss: My girlish figure.

Cravings: Ice. I don’t know what my prob is. And Coke.

Symptoms: Quite a few Braxton Hicks contractions. I thought it was just Colin stretching, until my midwife confirmed what they really are. Ignorance is bliss, huh?

Best Moment This Week: Getting ready for Christmas and seeing how excited Owen is!

37 Weeks, being protected by my own personal Space Ranger.

Buzz Lightyear. This is Owen's "Space Ranger serious face" pose.

About Erin

I'm a mom to the sweetest little boys ever, Owen & Colin. Owen was born in April of 2007 after 22 hours of active labor in a hospital. Love him more than life. Knowing I didn't feel another hospital birth was right for me, Colin was born at home surrounded by our 2 midwives and our little family. I've been married to my hubs for 7 years. We met in 1997 in an AOL Chatroom...the rest is history. I'm crazy. I'm funny. I am socially awkward. This is my life.
